This thick chocolate bar is subtle and round, with hints of plum and tangerine that will leave you satisfied after the first bite! The beans in this bar come from El Platanal, a small community of 54 cooperative members (15 of whom are women) that grow cacao on small plots, in the shade of mango and banana trees. Every 15 days, growers bring their freshly-harvested cacao to the local beneficio, where the beans and pulp are piled into wooden boxes to ferment for 4-5 days. The beans are then spread across a patio to dry, before Norandino performs final quality checks and exports them.
