Not long ago founders Kyle and Brooks were ski bums doing the Taos shuffle, Which means juggling 3 to 4 jobs at a time to afford their lift tickets and rent. They were also choking down some seriously poor tasting protein bars.
Since paying for gag-inducing nutrition didn’t sit well with them, they got to thinking: What if we traded the Taos shuffle for our own business, focused on crafting the highest quality, best tasting bars on the market using premium, organic ingredients?
So began their journey as the founders of Taos Mountain Energy Bar. They exchanged bluebird days at Taos Ski Valley for recipe development in the Taos Food Center. Instead of honing their skills on the slopes, they learned about chocolate tempering, GMO-free foods, and horizontal flow wrapping.
They believe that taste and healthy ingredients are not mutually exclusive, and strive to think outside the box when it comes to flavors, textures, and quality.
