Chef Geoff Rhyne created and founded Red Clay Hot Sauce in the summer of 2014 after a string of successes including opening and operating Sugartoad in Naperville, Il & The Ordinary in Charleston, S.C. as Chef de Cuisine.
After patrons of Chef Rhyne's restaurants continuously stole bottles of his handmade hot sauce off the tables, the brand Red Clay was formulated. It is the only hot sauce born in southern bourbon barrels and cold-pressed to retain subtle and firm flavors. Every cold-pressed (never cooked or heated) bottle contains The Taste of The South.
