The Connealy family has been raising cattle for over 100 years, and there are currently 4 generations on the ranch which now sprawls tens of thousands of acres in the Nebraska Sandhills. After moving to Boston, Hannah (Connealy) Raudsepp noticed the large disconnect that exists between ranchers and the Americans they feed. Together with her husband Erik, she started Honest Beef to address the lack of transparency for both ends of the value chain by providing dry-aged beef that can be traced back to the animal of origin. “By crowdsourcing beef one animal at a time, you can know exactly where your beef is from, and ranchers can know who they are feeding. We’re a beef company with our hand in every step of our short supply chain,” Hannah says.
