With a love for food and gardening Jane Yagoda can be found at the cutting board or planning another raised bed. Like most passionate cooks her appreciation for great tasting food started early, as a child she played in her Miami backyard eating sour cream and bananas. Sunny Florida became photography school in Santa Barbara where she fell in love with farmer markets. Eventually her beloved bananas and sour cream graduated to crème fraiche and tart tartin while attending La Varenne cooking school in Paris.
Never one to sit still too long, her diverse food career includes work as a pastry chef, food stylist, recipe developer, food editor, marketing associate and private chef. Her Brooklyn garden initiated her total love for gardening. Brooklyn became Montclair NJ and its in her backyard, that she grows her favorite herbs, flowers and runner beans. And it's where A Gardener's Kitchen grew from a bowl of sour cream to creating delicious food that just tastes really good.
