Ommegang Brewery lies just a short drive from the Beekman farm, so the collaboration between the two brands seemed like the most natural way to show appreciation for New York’s makers. The Beekman 1802 Boys took the brewery’s fruity Abbey Ale Beer to create a nearly 100% beer jelly. Combining the rich spices in the beer with sugar and natural pectin, they created a savory jelly that pairs incredibly with glazed chicken and hearty pot roasts—not to mention grilled cheese! Of course, you don’t have to use this stuff to cook with—it makes a great alternative to the sweeter stuff when you’re arranging a cheese plate!
